🇺🇸Will Hindman
Founder · 2025–present · Independent
Will Hindman is the teenage developer from Baker City, Oregon who built USATrivia.us. From a single HTML file written in his spare time, he expanded the project into a 100+ page trivia site covering every U.S. state, every U.S. president, and most of American history. Single term so far. Approval ratings high among the cat that occasionally walks across his keyboard.

How You Found This Page
You searched "Will Hindman" in the site search. There are zero links to this page anywhere else on the site — not in the nav, not in the footer, not on the homepage. You earned it. Welcome.
The Project
USATrivia.us started as a single HTML file in 2025 — one game with a handful of trivia categories. Over the following months it grew into a real site:
- 750+ trivia questions across 9 categories
- 6 game modes, including a classroom multiplayer mode that runs over Firebase
- 51 state pages, 46 president pages, 7 history articles, 5 symbol articles
- A growing blog, with new posts added on a regular schedule
- A search index of 460+ entries — this page being one of them
- An approximately unreasonable number of lines of HTML and JavaScript
All of it built between school, family obligations, and whatever else a teenager in eastern Oregon does with their time.
Major Decisions
Every U.S. president has had a few defining moments. The Founder of USATrivia.us has had several too:
- Refused to let AI write the trivia questions. Every question is human-picked, human-checked, and human-corrected.
- Switched the daily streak counter from a fragile local-storage system to a proper date-aware one after a format bug reset every player's streak. (Sorry about that.)
- Migrated the site's hosting at least three times in pursuit of fewer broken images and faster page loads.
- Declined to install a tip jar, even though it was suggested by a parent.
The Domain
The domain usatrivia.us was acquired specifically so this site could exist. The .us extension was chosen on the theory that a site about American trivia ought to use the American country code. The .com had been parked by a squatter for fifteen years and was not for sale at any price the Founder was willing to pay.
Legacy
Pending. Check back in a couple of decades.
Trivia About This Page
- This page exists because the Founder asked an AI assistant to add him to the site's search index "for fun."
- The assistant offered three options for the search entry. He picked the easter egg version.
- Then he asked for an actual easter egg page. So this page exists.
- It is not linked from the navigation, the footer, the homepage, or the Learn Center. It IS in the sitemap, because Google has to find pages somehow, but it isn't featured anywhere else on the site.
- The page is styled deliberately like a presidential biography because that felt like the most appropriate format.
- If you found this page, please don't tell anyone where it is. Make them search for it themselves. That's the rule.
🥚 Other Easter Eggs?
There may or may not be others. The Founder isn't telling.
